Where Brutal utility Encounters Delicate Light Waves

Gallery Tunnelsy represents a physical synthesis of Seattle’s historical infrastructural utility and the avant-garde of contemporary environmental projection and sonic installation.

Carved originally into basalt layers in 1924, these heavy vaults served decades in absolute darkness. Today, they form a structured subterranean circuit specifically configured to isolate noise and block external light, creating an absolute baseline for artists to reconstruct space using light, shadow, and kinetic energy.

Acoustics

Natural Isolation

Thick earth dampens urban vibration, creating an uncompromised spatial sound design environment.

Atmosphere

Stabilized Dark

Zero light intrusion ensures exact colorimetric projection and high-fidelity optical illusions.

Acoustic & Echo

Chamber 01: The Resonance Arch

A vaulted concrete space specially tuned for acoustic delay, currently staging "Echoes in Concrete" spatial audio. Every footstep integrates with physical synthesizers built within the architecture.

Chamber 02: Lumen Corridor

A 120-meter stretch illuminated by fiber-optic streams responding to underground air currents. Curated to study structural perspective through contrasting shadows.

Chamber 03: Terracotta Vaults

Surfaces framed entirely in raw hand-pressed clay tiles and suspended clay sculptures. This dry vault acts as a sensory baseline for earthen materials.

Chamber 04: The Deep Vault

Positioned 12 meters below Seattle's pavement, this cavern is dedicated strictly to silent kinetic projection maps. Features zero-frequency floor panels.
